Comberton Village College : Spanish School of the Year
18 June 2009

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are delighted to inform you that Comberton was today officially named by the Spanish Embassy as "Spanish School of the Year 2009".
In addition to the title, the Award brings a £500 cash prize and £500 of spanish teaching materials.
This is CVC's 4th major award for languages. 2006 saw the college win a European Languages Award jointly with the Cambridge University Language Centre. Last year we gained the prestigious Mary Glasgow Award for 14-19 Curriculum Innovation and this year in addition to this award, we also won a further European Award for Languages for "Spanglovision".
To help us celebrate this year’s success please come to our inaugural Primary "Spanglovision Gala" on Friday 10 July. All year 6 students will be participating in a short gala concert to show their work beginning at 1.00pm in the Performance Hall. All are welcome to this free event.
Best wishes
Rachel Hawkes
Assistant Principal
