Sharing Good Practice on Mental Health
12th February 2019
Staff at Comberton were delighted to spend the day working with 20 headteachers from China, sharing how they support students with mental health issues to access and succeed at school. The visiting teachers toured the school with prefects before a series of talks – with the help of an interpreter - from Head of School Peter Law, Safeguarding Lead Sean Pollock, SENDCo Lynn Stewart, Peter Allcock, Head of the Cabin, Comberton’s Asperger’s Centre, and Susanne Smith, who oversees the college’s PSHE programme.
Assistant Principal Mark Soames, who co-ordinated the visit, said: “When you hear about all the things we do in one place, it is really impressive and I hope our visitors got a sense of the importance that is placed on student mental health and well-being.”
