Christmas Lunch

9th November 2017

On Thursday 14th December, we will be having our traditional Christmas Lunch. This is a special school event, which will involve all pupils and members of staff. Music will be played, the hall decorated and staff will help to serve the meals. Lessons will run as normal in the morning, with the afternoon given over to the Christmas lunch and activities in year groups. There will be two options for lunch, both of which will cost £3.35. These are as follows:-

  • Roast turkey in gravy, roast/mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, stuffing, sausage, cranberry sauce, Christmas pudding or gateau and a bottle of water

  • creamy vegetable lattice, roast/mashed potatoes, carrots, peas, stuffing, vegetarian sausage, cranberry sauce, Christmas pudding or gateau and a bottle of water.

There will be a normal service of food, drinks and snacks at morning break time, with only the Christmas Lunch choices being available at lunchtime.

All pupils will attend the Christmas lunch, and it is usual that the vast majority purchase the excellent food available; however those pupils who do not wish to are welcome to bring along sandwiches and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

Ways to pay for your child’s ticket:-

  1. By purchasing a ticket in advance through WisePay under the “tickets and events manager” option where the Christmas lunch item is listed: Insert link

2. Purchasing a ticket with a cashless catering card

During the week commencing 4th December you child will be able to purchase their ticket with their cashless catering card at break time only in the Dining Hall. Please ensure your child has sufficient funds on their card to pay for this.

It will not be possible to buy a ticket on the day and all purchases must be made by Friday 8th December. Tickets will be distributed in tutor groups on the morning of 14th December to avoid any tickets being lost or forgotten. Those pupils who have free school meals will automatically be issued with a ticket without needing to request one.
