We regret that we will not be offering school tours in the foreseeable future; this will be reviewed as we progress througout the academic year.

How to apply for a place in Year 7
The application process for admissions into Year 7 is co-ordinated by Cambridgeshire Local Authority (LA), which acts on behalf of the governing body to offer places at the College. Parents should apply online at www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/admissions or submit a Cambridgeshire Application Form, available from their child’s primary school or from the LA Admissions team, no later than the LA deadline at the end of October. Offer letters will be issued by the LA on the National Offer Date (1st March or first working day after). Late applications (those submitted between the October deadline and the end of the co-ordination period) will be handled by the Admissions team.
For further information and specific dates, please refer to the full scheme for secondary co-ordination, available from the LA Admissions Team or from the website,www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/admissions

How to apply for places in Years 8, 9, 10 and 11
For applications for places in Years 8, 9, 10 and 11 at any time of the year, a Local Authority ‘in-year’ application form must be completed and returned to the Local Authority Admissions team. See website www.cambridgeshire.gov.uk/admissions
In the event of over-subscription the criteria set out in our Admissions Policy (see panel on the left of this page)will be applied and places offered in accordance with those criteria.
Parents wishing to visit the school prior to submitting an application are welcome to do so. However, this is not always possible to organise at short notice and visits are usually conducted in small groups. Visits are not interviews and do not affect any decision regarding the availability of a place.
How to apply for places in Years 12 and 13
For all issues relating to admission to years 12 and 13, please refer to the separate Admissions Policy for Comberton Sixth Form which is available on the Comberton Sixth Form website.
Our Admissions Policy for 2021-2022
Comberton Village College is undertaking a consultation proposing to increase its Published Admission Number (PAN) from 240 to 270 for the Year 7 intake effective from September 2021. Click here to see our policy for 2021-2022.
The proposed change is in response to the current demand for places in the Comberton feeder catchment area, for the increasing number of children who require secondary school provision.
The school has the capacity to take these extra numbers and there will be no additional building/facilities needed to allow us to increase our PAN to this number. In addition, the admission arrangements remain unchanged.
This consultation is being undertaken by Comberton Village College with support from Cambridgeshire County Council. The Annual Consultation of Admission Arrangements in Cambridgeshire is taking place between 18th November 2019 to 12th January 2020 and the documents are available to view on the county’s website:
Comberton Village College would like to invite views on the proposed increase of the PAN from September 2021.
Any comments or suggestions can be made either by writing to the school, marking letters for attention of Ms Daniela Glass or by emailing CATemail@example.com
If emailing, please state COMBERTON PROPOSAL in the subject line.
Responses to this consultation will be submitted as part of a significant change business case to the DfE, before a final decision is made by the Regional Schools Commissioner.
